At LENA we do a combi manicure: the technician lifts the cuticle with a machine, then removes what is left with nippers. It is not a machine-only manicure and not a Russian manicure. It takes about 75 minutes and is included in the 230,000₫ gel manicure.
Three techniques
A classic manicure uses nippers and scissors. A machine-only manicure uses a file bit and no cutting tool. A combi manicure combines both: the machine removes most of the cuticle and the nippers clean the edge.

We do not call this a Russian manicure and we do not promise “like in Russia”: the depth of work and the tools are different. If you need a machine-only manicure, tell us before booking.
The visit starts with a check of the cuticle: how thick it is and whether the skin is irritated. That decides how much the technician does with the machine and where nippers are needed.
You will feel the vibration of the file and short movements of the nippers. Tell the technician if it is sensitive; speed and pressure can be adjusted.
Combi takes a little longer than a classic manicure because two tools are used. The edge is cleaner and gel catches less on hangnails.

Is combi the same as a machine manicure?
No. Combi uses both a machine and nippers; a machine manicure uses only the file bit.
Does it hurt?
Usually not. Tell the technician if you feel pain and they will change technique.
How much does it cost?
It is included in the gel manicure: 230,000₫ (~$9). There is no separate line in the menu.
Do you do Russian manicure?
No. We do combi — machine and nippers. It is a different technique from what is usually called a Russian manicure.
